Eating on the beach – Family Holidays Riccione
Asso and Pepe, funny mascots of Riccione Family Hotels, have some advices on what is better to eat on the beach.
A: Get ready for a day at the sea with a healthy breakfast: fruit juice and toast with jam are perfect before a dip in the water!
P: Mid-morning satisfy your hunger with a plum or a nectarine.
A: For lunch choose lighter dishes, such as mixed salad, pasta salad, Caprese salad, cured raw beef with rocket and Parmesan cheese, chicken salad (without mayonnaise!), a sandwich with cooked ham (raw ham gives hunger).
P: Avoid carbonated drinks, prefer iced tea, drink water in quantity.
A: For a snack, choose a fruit in season: apricots, figs, melon, watermelon, coconut, berries. If you opt for cherries, be moderate (they are very good but also laxative…).
P: Avoid sweets! A lolly or a fresh fruit ice cream are better.
A: At sunset, accompany the aperitif with raw vegetables. And remember: carrots help the tan.
P: Do not miss the fish for dinner.
