1 pm. The doors of the restaurant are open and the buffet lunch is a sight for sore eyes, inviting diners in to try everything.
Stefano Giuliodori, the owner, is walking around the tables, mingling with guests and talking about his passion for good wine and great local products.
There’s a special table where he always sits: it’s the kids’ table. “Did you eat everything today? he asks. And they all say yes together!
“What have you been up to lately?”
The race is on to be the first to enthusiastically tell him: “We went out to sea on the pirates’ ship, we had water pistol fights and it was fantastic! Yesterday we had a swimming skills lesson, today we’re learning to make biscuits and piadina, and tomorrow we’ve got a salt dough modelling course. Friday, we’re having a night-time swim in the pool, and every afternoon, we can use the Family spa too!”
Fabrizio and Nicola have been spending their holidays at Hotel Dory for a few years and their eyes are bright with the joy of someone wanting to go back to somewhere they have great fun. While their parents’ eyes have all they joy of those who know their kids are happy.
Hi, I’m Roberta Giuliodori, deputy manager of my hotel.
I grew up at the Dory and it feels a bit like my home. I love paying attention to every detail and I like rooms to be welcoming for those staying with us (sometimes, I think I’m the most demanding guest).
If I’m still doing this job after thirty years, it’s because seeing families leave with smiles on their faces makes me happy. I sometimes see kids glued to the children’s entertainer pleading with their parents and saying: “I don’t want to go home! When are we coming back to the Dory?” I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes at that precise moment!
Those who love style will find their natural habitat in the Hotel Dory rooms.
Parquet flooring, wood wainscoting and design elements combine with the comfort of a room designed with families in mind; 27 square metres divided into two separate spaces, so guests enjoy the privacy of home, even on holiday.
Comfort and innovation in 23-27 m² of space. Warm parquet floors, wood panelling, comfortable bathrooms and suffused lighting create an atmosphere of relaxation, together with soft pillows and big divan beds.
The mini apartments are 50 metres from the hotel. Comfortable rooms (27-31 m²), large terrace and kitchenette, with everything needed for cooking.
Rooms measuring 15-19 m², with the same style and design as the Junior Suites. Bedspreads with optical patterns, cushions with gold weave, light niches and suffused lighting are among the features here.

If you ask young Hotel Dory guests what they love most about their holiday, the answer is likely to be “Everything!”.
They have lots of fun at the mini-club events and on the beach. Always accompanied by our children’s entertainers. There are spaces specially dedicated to kids, which are cordoned off and safe, where they can play ping-pong or billiards, play, do colouring, create things with salt dough and have a snack. They can be together from morning until evening.
What makes kids even happier are the dozens of activities organised by the hotel’s children’s entertainers, many of which are theme activities held once a week. Here they are:

A light and balanced meal: we present “Insaluteria” that consists in more than 15 fresh ingredients for guests to create their own salad, an area just for children, a different hot first course served every day, traditional Romagna-style piadina, salamis and cold cuts, fresh cheeses, fruit and desserts.
Dinner takes centre stage, dressed in the colours of our territory: you’ll begin with sophisticated appetizers, seasonal vegetables and finger food served buffet-style.
Our wonderful chef, Solideo Lenti, will cook live, explaining all about the excellent products, the fresh fish from our sea and the early seasonal fruit and vegetables that you’ll savour in your dishes.
