I look at the children in the hotel and think about how many I have seen over many years of management. Some grew up with my four children and now I see them coming back with their children. It’s a thrill to see them come back and know that they remember us after so many years. And it’s also wonderful to think of how many children were weaned right here, with the meals prepared by Chef Corrado, 30 years ago as well as today.

You are in Riccione but it feels like Barcelona when you enter the Gaudi room of the Hotel Maddalena restaurant. Columns with an unmistakable style, curved lines, mosaics. And shades of yellow and blue. The eye also wants its part when you sit at the table, both on the plate and in the ambience in which you find yourself.
At the entrance, the menu of the day, each with 3 choices: meat, fish, vegetarian. Chef Corrado, a Maddalena staple, has been preparing it for over 30 years. The same one who prepares the meals for the little ones every day, according to the children’s tastes and with the same care as mothers in using always fresh ingredients. A weaning menu to all intents and purposes, with vegetable, meat and fish broths, smoothies and creams. Children learn to taste new flavours and mums are relaxed.
For older children? There is the baby menu, which at lunch and dinner is formulated to win over the most difficult guests, who eat here without tantrums and always clean their plates.
And for mum and dad? The day begins with the served breakfast buffet, a feast for the eyes and even more so for the palate, a moment to savour calmly. Finally on holiday, the rhythms are more relaxed and even in the morning you can sit back and indulge in an extra croissant, a yoghurt, a taste of savoury food, one of the organic products from the dedicated corner.
Time for lunch or dinner. Sacred moments, to exchange the day’s emotions, to tell each other, to look into each other’s eyes: you remain comfortably seated, served by the waiter who brings to your table the best dishes chosen from the menu.
